The cloud-based platform with innovative digital solutions for the rail industry optimizes the management and maintenance of rail infrastructure. Engineered polymer sleeper (EPS): resource-saving & sustainable alternative to wooden sleepers
EPS sets new standards in the field of composite sleepers. They are the successful result of more than ten years of development work by the experts at Vossloh. The EPS combines the positive properties of concrete, wood and plastic sleepers – made possible by the innovative material amalentic.
Smart HSG-city: condition-based rail maintenance in urban areas
This intelligent combination of condition survey and adequate rail processing in the timetable enables network operators to organize their rail maintenance efficiently, sustainably and in a customer-oriented manner. Instead of drowning in a flood of data from measurement results and time-consuming planning of measures, our smart smart HSG-city enables a targeted, preventive rail maintenance strategy. When used cyclically, the revolutionary high-speed grinding technology eliminates noise-causing corrugations and significantly extends rail life.
VTM-compact: flexible milling machine for every track
The compact Hotspot milling machine is the ideal choice when medium to severe rail defects need to be rectified at specific points on the track or in turnouts. Its use is particularly economical, as it removes up to two millimeters of material per pass and can be quickly tracked in thanks to an extremely flexible logistics concept. It doesn't matter what gauge your network has. Whether Vignol or grooved rails - the flexible VTM-compact feels at home in any terrain. At this year's iaf, we will be presenting the VTM-compact for narrow gauge.
MicroPulsar: the AI-driven wayside monitoring system
Developed for private rail infrastructures such as ports or industrial parks, the compact MicroPulsar is our innovative OCR gate solution that scans trains as they arrive and depart. The data obtained is analyzed by our own AI. After just a few minutes, information such as external views and UIC numbers of the wagons, wagon sequence of the train, potentially loaded hazardous goods and container numbers are available to help digitize and optimize internal processes. With its compact size, it can be assembled within a day and requires neither track work nor a track superstructure.
Innovative Tram Switch
The innovative tramway switch with replaceable wear parts significantly reduces maintenance downtime and optimizes the performance of the turnout by allowing parts to be replaced quickly and efficiently. The advantages include halving the maintenance time, a lower environmental impact and greater flexibility and cost efficiency by adapting the materials to the respective requirements.

Experience in a live demonstration how the SoniQ Rail Explorer sets new technological and ergonomic standards in mobile ultrasonic testing. The powerful, modular and future-proof test electronics and software from cooperation partner Fraunhofer IKTS detect all operational irregularities and even deep squats, head checks and corrosion on the rail base in real time. Reflectors are precisely located and findings are presented in an understandable way.
The new feature fully implemented in the SoniQ Rail Explorer – the ability to check the condition of cast manganese steel turnout frogs – is unique and opens up completely new possibilities for inspecting turnouts in the track after decades of black boxes. The hand probes, developed in cooperation with UltraRS, detect discontinuities in the interior of the manganese core to a depth of at least 60 mm below the surface.

The trade fair will take place on the grounds of the MCC Halle Münsterland and on the tracks of the Münster-Ost station of the Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn (WLE). With almost 3,000 meters of track and three exhibition halls, the iaf offers sufficient space for the presentation of state-of-the-art machines and technologies.
