3 - MAIN MISSION

Is in charge of hierarchically managing the machining hubs sites under the Vossloh Switch Systems scope.

Under direct responsability, the sites of : Reichshoffen, Bydgoszcz, Rumelange, Ystad, Nis, Hyderabad, Castlemaine and Kewdale. The joint-venture site of Wuhu in China is in the scope as well for promoting performance and best practices.

4 - MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main missions are :
* Guarantees the results of each sites under responsability in terms of safety, costs effectiveness, delivery performance and quality
* Anticipates risks, ensure proper allocation of resources in line with needs, in terms of competencies, headcounts and machines in particular, alert in case of issues requiring help
* Promote and ensure team spirit and collaboration between other functions, with the country managers, between the sites under responsability and with the assembly sites depending on the machining hubs
* Engage and ensure convergence of processes and practices in VSS by showing good demonstrated practices, to reach operationnel excellence
* Participate to the definition of the 3 year operation roadmap to ensure performance, efficiency and creation of value-added (productivity, digitalization, outsourcing, automatization…) aligned with country maturity
* Create synergies across all CM functions and countries.

6- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, LEVEL OF TRAINING REQUIRED

5-10 years as a manager of a big operationnal unit (>100 employees).


Successfull experience in major change management (operationnal excellence, greenfield and brownfield site expansions).


Successfull experience in multicultural environment.


Strong technical knowledge of rail machining would be a plus.

8- WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Frequent travels to the site to be on the shopfloor to understand issues, measure effectiveness of actions and participate to improvement meeting.
